Sigma Named Snowflake’s 2025 BI Data Cloud Product Partner of the Year

At Snowflake Summit 2025, Sigma was named Snowflake’s Business Intelligence Data Cloud Product Partner of the Year. It’s the third year in a row Snowflake has given Sigma this recognition.

What Snowflake is recognizing

Today, nearly Sigma and Snowflake have more than 1,000 joint customers, including teams at DoorDash and Mindbody. These teams are using Sigma and Snowflake to plan, forecast, approve, and operate.

Sigma runs directly on the AI Data Cloud. There are no extracts, no copies, and no separate systems to manage. Teams work on data where it already lives and keep the same permissions, governance, and security Snowflake enforces.

Why this matters now

A lot of analytics work still breaks down at the last mile. Teams can get answers, but turning those answers into action usually means exporting data, updating spreadsheets, or rebuilding workflows somewhere else.

What we see customers doing instead is using Sigma to build AI Apps directly on Snowflake. Things like planning tools, operational workflows, and AI-assisted processes that stay connected to live data. With real-time access to the AI Data Cloud, customers are centralizing analytics, AI, and action in one place, instead of stitching together tools after the fact.

A quick word from both sides

Mike Palmer, Sigma’s CEO, summed it up simply:

“Sigma’s Generative Intelligence approach redefines how teams interact with data—combining natural language, AI, and real-time cloud data to unlock faster, smarter decisions. And unlike traditional BI tools, Sigma goes further by empowering users to build data apps that automate action on those insights.”

From Snowflake’s side, Kieran Kennedy, VP of Data Cloud Product Partners, put the focus on consistency:

“Throughout our partnership, Sigma has consistently demonstrated excellence in working with the AI Data Cloud. We’re pleased to again recognize them with the Business Intelligence Partner of the Year award.”

What’s happening this week

Sigma is on the ground at Snowflake Summit all week, so come find us at Booth #1900. We are hosting daily theater sessions, and working with customers who are sharing how they use Sigma in production.

We’re also hosting sessions with customers including the New York Stock Exchange and Yamaha Motor Finance, along with hands-on sessions focused on last-mile analytics and Cortex AI.

The takeaway

Awards are nice. What matters more is that customers are using Sigma and Snowflake together to run real parts of their business. And that the integration holds up under real-world pressure.
