Use Case

  • Finance

Treasury4 is a modern treasury management platform built to connect, organize, and analyze complex financial data. Its analytics capabilities combine a Snowflake data foundation with Sigma's embedded business intelligence platform.

As customer reporting requirements grew more sophisticated, configuring and validating complex dashboards could take hours. Sigma Workbooks as Code changes that equation. Treasury4 can now use AI-assisted development to turn a report concept or mockup into a working dashboard prototype in 10 to 15 minutes, with subsequent iterations becoming faster as well.

True self-service BI is finally possible.

The Challenge

Treasury reporting brings together large volumes of financial data with highly specific analytical requirements. Treasury4's Sigma environment supports tables containing tens of millions of transaction rows across hundreds of columns, while customers may require everything from interactive cash dashboards to highly customized financial reports.

Historically, more complex dashboard configurations required significant manual development and QA. As Treasury4's analytics capabilities expanded, the challenge was finding a way to accelerate that work without sacrificing control or reliability.

The Solution

Sigma Workbooks as Code allows Treasury4's team to read, write, and version Sigma workbooks programmatically rather than configuring every element manually. Combined with AI-assisted development, Treasury4 can rapidly translate reporting requirements into working Sigma dashboards and then refine them through an iterative process.

Just as important, version control makes changes easier to compare and validate. Instead of repeatedly rebuilding and manually retesting complex reports, the team can focus more of its time on the underlying business requirements and user experience.

The Results

A first-draft dashboard that previously could take about four hours can now be prototyped in 10 to 15 minutes—a roughly 94% reduction. Subsequent iterations are faster as well, allowing Treasury4's team to respond more quickly to sophisticated reporting requirements while maintaining a governed analytics environment.

The result is a more scalable approach to delivering powerful, highly configurable treasury analytics.

What's Next

Treasury4 plans to extend Workbooks as Code into its AI capabilities, creating opportunities for users to build and modify reports through natural-language interactions while remaining within Treasury4's governed data and security framework.
