Supplemental Notice for California Residents

This Supplemental Notice for California Residents (“CA Notice”) applies to individuals that are residents of California or California consumers, as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (Cal. Civ. Code §§ 1798.100 et seq.), and its implementing regulations (“CCPA”). 

This CA Notice describes how Sigma processes and discloses your “Personal Information” (as defined by the CCPA, and that may be referred to in the Privacy Notice and this CA Notice as “Personal Data”). This CA Notice supplements the information contained in the Privacy Notice.

1. Notice at Collection.  

The CCPA, requires businesses that collect Personal Data of California residents to make certain disclosures regarding how they collect, use, retain and disclose such information. This CA Notice addresses those requirements. We recommend that you read the Privacy Notice as a whole, with this CA Notice to ensure you are fully informed

  • Please review Section 2 (Personal Data We Collect and Process) of the Privacy Notice, Section 3 (Our Uses of Personal Data) of the Privacy Notice, and Section 2 of this CA Notice for an overview of the Personal Data we collect and why.

2. Personal Data Collected and Processed.

2.1 Categories of Personal Data Collected.

As further described in Section 2 of the Privacy Notice, the categories of Personal Data that we have collected within the preceding 12 months and may collect on a going-forward basis include:

  • Contact Data, including (i) Identifiers (e.g., name, username, User ID, email address, IP address, and address), and (ii) professional or employment-related information (e.g., name of employer and job title). Contact Data includes identifiers such as name, address, and telephone numbers that are considered Customer Records (under Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)).
  • Technical Data, such as Internet or other similar network information or device activity (e.g., browsing history, search history, and information regarding your interaction with a website, application, or advertisement)
  • Location data (i.e., an approximate location inferred from your IP address, city, or country) 
  • Support Data;
  • Communications Data;
  • Account Data,  including Commercial Information (e.g., transaction history); and
  • Inferences drawn from the preceding categories of Personal Data

2.2 Sensitive Personal Information Collected. 

We collect the following “Sensitive Personal Information” (as defined by CCPA) from you: complete account access credentials, namely usernames in combination with the required access credentials (e.g., password) to allow you with access to your account.

2.3 Sources of Personal Data.

We obtain your Personal Data (i) directly from you, (ii) automatically through the devices that you use to access and use our Sites and Services, (iii) from third-parties, such as our Customers, Service Providers, Affiliates, publicly-available sources, our Business Partners, and social media sites,  and (iv) through use of automated technologies, as further described in Section 2.2 of the Privacy Notice (Sources of Personal Data)  

2.4 Purposes for Collecting Personal Data.

We use Personal Data for a variety of legitimate business (and commercial) purposes, as described in Section 3 (Our Uses of Personal Data) of the Privacy Notice.

2.5 Retention of Personal Data.

We retain your Personal Data as described in in Section 8 (Data Retention) of the Privacy Notice.

3. Categories of Personal Data Disclosed.

The business purposes for which we process your Personal Data is described in Section 3 of the Privacy Notice (Our Uses of Personal Data), and how we disclose Personal Data collected from you is described in Section 4 of the Privacy Notice (Disclosure of your Personal Data). 

  • Sigma doesn’t use or disclose your Sensitive Personal Information for purposes other than those described in CCPA. 
  • Except for Sigma’s “sharing” or “sale” of Personal Data described in Section 4 of this CA Notice, the table below describes the categories of Personal Data disclosed to third parties (Recipients) by Sigma in the last 12 months.

4. Sale and Sharing of Personal Data.

The definitions of “sale” and “sharing” under the CCPA Personal Data to certain types of advertising and marketing partners, including those that utilize cookies and other tracking technologies in order to deliver advertisements you and that tailor online ads to your interests based on information they collect about your online activity. 

  • Sigma may share your Personal Data with our advertising and marketing Partners, provided you have given your consent (and/or subject to your opt-out preferences). 
  • You may opt out from on cookies and similar technologies based sale or sharing by (i) visiting our ‘Cookie Settings’ link on the footer of our Sites, and disabling optional cookies, or (ii) by enabling browser-based opt-out preference signals (as further explained in Section 6.3 of the Privacy Notice). You may also opt out from other identifier- based (e.g., email or phone number) sale or sharing by filling out this form
  • Sigma does not knowingly sell or share Personal Data of consumers under 16 years of age.

5. Your CCPA Rights.

CCPA gives California residents the right to make certain requests with respect to their Personal Data. Please see Section 5 (Your Rights) and Section 6 (Your Choices and Controls) of the Privacy Notice for a description of those rights and how you may exercise them. Your privacy rights include:

  • Right to know what Personal Data we have collected about you, including the categories of Personal Data, the categories of sources from which the Personal Data is collected, the business purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing Personal Data, the categories of third parties to whom we disclose, sell, or with whom we share Personal Data, and the specific pieces of Personal Data we have collected about you.
  • Right to opt-out of “sharing” or “sale” of your Personal Data or processing of your Personal Data for targeted advertising, profiling or cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Right to limit the use and disclosure of your Sensitive Personal Data.  
  • Right to appeal any decision with regard to your privacy request
  • Right to Non-Discrimination.  We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
