Supplemental Notice For Canadian Candidates

This Supplemental Notice for Canadian Candidates (“Canada Notice") applies to Candidates that reside in Canada. This Canada Notice supplements the information contained in the Candidate Privacy Notice.

1. Our Processing Activities.

  • We process, collect, use and disclose your Personal Data in accordance with our Candidate Privacy Notice., as supplemented by this Canada Notice and as otherwise authorized or required by applicable laws. In circumstances where consent may be required by applicable law, we will seek your consent.
  • Where permitted by applicable laws, and upon providing you with prior notice, we may collect, use and disclose your Personal Data without your consent for the purposes recruitment, hiring and management of our application and recruitment process. For example, for residents of British Columbia, and Alberta we may collect, use and disclose “personal employee information” (as defined under Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act) and “employee personal information” (as defined in British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act) without consent if and to the extent that (i) we provide prior notice regarding that collection, use, disclosure, or other processing, and (ii) our collection, use, disclosure, storage, or other processing activities are reasonable for the purposes of recruitment and hiring.
  • We will retain your Personal Data for the period required as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

2. Transfer of Personal Data.

We, our Affiliates, and our Service Providers, may access, store and otherwise process Personal Data outside of your province (including, for Quebec residents, outside of Quebec), including in other parts of Canada, the United States, and other foreign jurisdictions. We may disclose your Personal Data if we are required or permitted by applicable law or legal process, which may include lawful access by foreign courts, law enforcement or other government authorities in the jurisdictions in which we, our Affiliates, and our Service Providers operate.

3. Your Rights.

Subject to limited exceptions under applicable law, and depending on your jurisdiction of residence, you may have the following rights:

  • You can access the Personal Data we store about you, including details of why we are processing it, and you can correct Personal Data that is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Your right to access and correction is not absolute but is subject to limitations in ‎applicable law. In the event that we cannot honor your requests for access and correction, we will endeavor to inform you of the reasons why, subject to any legal or regulatory restrictions.
  • In certain circumstances, you may request deindexation of your Personal Data.
  • You have the right to data portability and can request a copy of your Personal Data in a commonly used technological format.
  • Where we rely on your consent to process your Personal Data, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to the withdrawal of your consent. Please note, if you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to proceed with your application.
