AI Query: Turn Data into AI-powered Insights and Apps

While teams have recognized the power of applying LLMs in their analyses, this launch solidifies AI Query as the most direct and governed way to scale warehouse LLMs across every Sigma workflow.
AI Query lets teams apply trusted warehouse AI models directly in Sigma workbooks. By calling an LLM in the formula bar, teams can layer AI-generated context—summaries, recommendations, classifications, translations, sentiment scores—alongside their data. Simply type your prompt, and Sigma returns LLM results, keeping everything customizable and fully governed within your warehouse.
Teams across Marketing, Finance, and Sales rely on AI Query to streamline workflows and build AI apps at scale. Across the business, AI Query turns unstructured data into structured insights, helping teams move faster, make better decisions, and fully leverage the AI investments they already have.
AI Query is generally available to all Sigma customers with connections to Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift. AI Builder: Empower App Builders with an AI Copilot

AI Builder brings an intelligent copilot directly into the Sigma workbook, helping teams build, design, and refine AI-powered apps through natural conversation. Instead of manually wiring components together, users can describe the workflow they need—such as a survey for data collection or a sales forecasting app—and AI Builder assembles the structure, including inputs, logic, layout, and interactions, in minutes.
By simplifying creation and iteration, AI Builder removes the technical overhead of building sophisticated AI Apps. Builders can get moving even when the starting point to a solution isn’t obvious, improve their apps continuously, and focus their time on solving business problems rather than navigating complexities.
AI Builder is in private beta. We’ll be expanding access to more customers in 2026.
MCP Client: Pull Specialized Insights From External Data Sources

The new MCP client transforms Sigma into a unified interface for external systems, APIs, and operational tools. With MCP client connectors, Sigma can orchestrate intelligence not only from your warehouse, but also from CRMs, ticketing platforms, text files, and more.
This enriched context powers smarter experiences like Ask Sigma, where every answer incorporates real-time application data and domain-specific signals. By unifying multiple sources of intelligence in a single interface, MCP client makes Sigma the central hub for enterprise analytics and insights.

MCP Server: Bring Knowledge and Control of Sigma Resources to Chat Experiences

Sigma’s new MCP server brings admin operations and metadata into third-party AI tools via a standardized MCP endpoint. Users can now understand the reach and adoption of workbooks and workspaces without switching between Sigma and chat applications.
For this launch, Sigma’s MCP server will allow users to search and retrieve workbooks, monitor workbook adoption, and access admin operations directly from chat. MCP server brings Sigma’s resource governance and usage insights into chat interfaces, delivering trusted answers wherever teams ask questions.
MCP server is coming soon to customers.
Snowflake Cortex Agents Integration: Transform Warehouse Intelligence into Sigma Workflows

Snowflake Cortex Agents let teams call sophisticated, warehouse-native AI agents directly into Sigma. Leveraging the integration with Snowflake Intelligence, Ask Sigma can invoke a pre-built agent to enrich data, and extend the agent’s output directly into practical AI applications. This capability is another part of what makes Sigma the UI for working with warehouse AI.
As the integration expands into AI Builder and other Sigma AI experiences, Cortex Agents and other external agents become first-class building blocks for governed, interactive applications. Sigma becomes the primary interface for enterprise AI agents, unifying human exploration with machine intelligence.
Snowflake Cortex Agents Integration in Ask Sigma is coming soon to customers.
Sigma Tenants: Simplify Multitenant Deployments at Scale

Managing complex, multitenant deployments just got even easier. The latest Sigma Tenants updates give you the control, security, and agility to scale governed analytics across customers, regions, and business units with speed and confidence.
With tenant-to-tenant sharing, organizations can set up permissions for secure asset sharing across tenants within a single Sigma instance, enabling collaboration while preserving data isolation. Expanded support for Snowflake Semantic Views allows you to deploy workbooks built on your existing Snowflake metrics across multiple tenants, keeping business logic consistent everywhere. New source swap policies automate secure data isolation by mapping and swapping data sources across environments with a single policy. With cross-region support, you can now provision, manage, and govern tenants anywhere in the world from one central place—meeting global regulatory and localization requirements effortlessly. Lastly, organizations can embed the entire Sigma Tenants experience inside their own products and applications, with their own users, data, and admin controls, for a fully-customized experience.
Cross-region support for Sigma Tenants is in private beta.
