A major international consumer packaged goods (CPG) brand with more than $6 billion in revenue depends on the data provided by customers when they register products purchased from independent retailers to engage with customers and grow through repeat business. The brand intended to slice and dice its 300 million row dataset by product information, customer cohorts, etc., to enable the marketing team to target customers with personalized email campaigns and identify which campaigns drove the most business.   • Data was extracted from Snowflake via a SQL query for the marketing team to analyze in Excel, but these datasets were constrained due to Excel scale limitations, preventing the team from seeing the full picture.
  • The marketing team had no insight into email campaign performance or means for developing accurate customer profiles or a searchable customer database.
  • Customers were opting out of email communication from the brand because emails were not relevant to them, which led to lost revenue opportunities from upsells, cross sells, and repeat business.
