Alexandra Crosswell (moderator)
Alexandra Crosswell is an Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine at UCSF where she leads a research lab focused on stress and health. She gives talks across the country on how to turn everyday stress into fuel for productivity and meaning. She also works with rapidly scaling venture-backed companies as a consultant and coach, helping employees thrive in demanding work environments.
Alexandra holds a BA from Duke University and a PhD from UCLA.
Yvonne Chen (panelist)
Yvonne is currently the VP of Marketing at Udemy, where she is at the forefront of the future of work, partnering with organizations of all sizes to address the skills gap and drive lifelong learning and development. Previously, Yvonne worked at Facebook in a number of roles, including playing a key role on the first Ads Monetization team and leading Product Marketing for key ads and business products. Her career in tech began at Google when she joined Google's Consumer Operations team after managing a business call center at AT&T.
Yvonne holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Katie Hughes (panelist)
Katie Hughes is a partner with General Catalyst, where she leads talent and human capital. Previously, she spent six years with DFJ and DFJ Growth as their talent partner. Her first exposure to recruiting for venture-backed, high-growth companies came when she helped to launch Betts Recruiting in San Francisco.
Katie holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Julie Lemieux (panelist)
Julie is the VP of Design at Sigma, where she is focused on enabling business people to query cloud data warehouses to answer their business questions - all without writing a lick of SQL. Previously, Julie worked at Databricks as the Head of User Experience and served as the Chief Experience Officer for BI & Analytics at SAP. Her career in tech began at Escalate Retail when she joined as an interaction designer, led ux engineering, served as a customer account manager, and was the primary architect for Home Depot’s order management system.
Julie holds a B.A. in American History from the University of Ottawa and an MFA from Academy of Design in Toronto.
